Everything I Knew To Be True is a young adult novel written for females. It's about a fellow young woman who is going through a rough patch in her life as her mother died and now she had to live in a new house with people she has never met before. She also discovers that her mother has a hidden past that the protagonist wasn't aware of.
It would be the author's first published book and she wanted something that was modern, casual, feminine, and quite pop. The legs and feet are symbolic to the idea of walking through the hardships of life. The colour palettes that were chosen for each concept make use of contrast and complimentary colours.
